I have been a fan of axolotls for a number of years, having discovered them on Craftster when their plight as an extinct-in-the-wild species became more well known. Like many, I am charmed by their big round eyes, wide mouths and cute, salamanderish bodies. They stay forever in their aquatic “baby” forms, always adorable. While they can be bred in captivity, their fragility and human intervention in their native environment has rendered them extinct in the wild.
This sweetie pie has large, shiny eyes, stubby little legs (they help her stand, since she can’t swim) and bright pink colors. She’s found her home with a sweet girl who loves axolotls almost as much as I do.
